New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state has cheated half of UP’s population.
The opposition party in the state levelled the allegation after the resignation of state BJP leader Priyamvada Tomar.
She also resigned as member of the Uttar Pradesh Women Commission ahead of the panchayat polls in the state.
Taking a dig at Yogi Adityanath government, the Samajwadi Party said that it’s clear from Tomar’s resignation that the BJP has cheated half of the population of Uttar Pradesh (women).
The SP said that Tomar resigned due to corruption and injustice to women in BJP-led UP government.
The Opposition party said that ‘Nari Shakti’ (women power) will surely answer this to the BJP government in 2022 assembly elections.
Tomar has said she took this decision due to BJP”s “anti-farmer” policy.
She also said that the BJP has neglected women and not fulfilled their wishes. (PW News)
