Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that aim of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ‘Andolan-Mukt’ Assam.
He was addressing Town Hall Programme at Shrimant Shankar Deb Kalashetra Auditorium after launching BJP’s social media campaign ‘Selfie with Development’ in Assam.
“Under whose govt were gunshots fired at Assam youth? ‘Andolan-Mukt’ Assam is what we aim for. In 5 years, BJP worked to free Assam from movements & those who were part of movement, today stand with Congress to eat into our vote base,” Shah said.
The Home Minister also asserted that there should be a nationalist govt in Assam that works not for just Assam but for entire North East.
Our aim is to establish prosperous Assam and a culture that connects North-East India’s regional communities, Shah said.
