Public may send objections or suggestions within 30 days
New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued the Draft Notification and invited public comments within 30 days regarding mandatory fitness of vehicles only through an Automated Testing Station (ATS).
The Draft Notification, dated February 2, 2022, proposes to make mandatory fitness of Heavy Goods Vehicles/Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles through ATS from April 1, 2023, onwards, and Medium Goods Vehicles/Medium Passenger Motor Vehicles and Light Motor vehicles (Transport) with effect from June 1, 2024, onwards.
Objections and suggestions to these draft rules, if any, may be sent to the Joint Secretary (Transport), email: comments-morth@gov.in, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Transport Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110 001.
The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft rules before the expiry of the aforesaid period only will be considered by the Central Government.
