Lucknow: Yogi Aditynath on March 25, 2022, took the oath of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister at Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium here.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel administered him the oath of office.
This was the first time after 37 years that a Chief Minister of UP returned to power for the second time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers, and CMs of BJP-ruled states attended the ceremony.
Yogi was elected leader of the UP Bharatiya Janata Party’s legislature party here on March 24, 2022. After that, Yogi Adityanath had called on Governor Anandiben Patel and staked claim to form the new government.
Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Yogi Adityanath and his Council of Ministers on taking oath as the Chief Minister and Ministers of Uttar Pradesh.
Recalling the many achievements of the past five years, the Prime Minister in a tweet expressed the hope that under the leadership of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth, the State will write a new chapter of development.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet, Yogi Adityanath tweeted and wrote, “Your best wishes will give us the energy to keep New Uttar Pradesh moving on the path of development. Thank you for your good wishes.”
Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak have been made Deputy Chief Minister in the Yogi Adityanath government. Apart from them, 16 cabinet ministers, 14 Ministers with independent charge, and 20 ministers of state also took the oath. (PW News)
