Himachal Govt’s special focus on neglected areas: CM Thakur

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Government was committed towards welfare and balanced development of every area of the State with special thrust on those areas which had remained neglected so far due to one reason or other, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said this while addressing a delegation of newly elected Members of Panchayat Samiti, Pradhans, deputy Pradhans of various Gram Panchayats of Rampur contituency of Shimla district in ‘Samwad Kaksh’ here today.

Chief Minister said that although Covid-19 pandemic had adversely affected the economy of the State but the State Government was ensuring that the pace of development goes uninterrupted even during this crisis. He said that he virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 3500 crore in different Vidhan Sabhas of the State. He said that developmental projects worth crores of rupees were dedicated in Rampur Vidhan Sabha area virtually.

Jai Ram Thakur said that people of the State have given wholehearted support to the present Government which had been reflected in the major victory of BJP supported candidates in the PRIs elections. He said that the sad demise of Ram Swaroop Sharma was a big loss to the Mandi Parliamentary area.

Fifteen Pradhans, Up Pradhans and ward members of Rampur area joined the BJP in the presence of the Chief Minister which include Pradhans Amrit Mehta, Nisha Devi, Sanotsh Kumar and Nisha Devi, Up Pradhans Rajeshwar Kayat, Kamlesh and Padam Dass, Ward members Gopi Chand, Roshan, Kapil, Rajender, Promila, Sunita and BDC members Mangat Ram, T.R. Azad etc.

Mandal President BJP Bhim Sen thanked the Chief Minister and urged him for early construction of Tikkar Khamadi road.

Former Minister Singhi Ram, former Chairman Kailash Federation Brij Lal, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Preeti Mangal, Vice Chairperson Shamsher Singh Khoond and others were also present on the occasion. (PR)
