Kejriwal expresses happiness over CBSE decision

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed happiness over the decision of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to cancel 10th Board exams and postpone 12th Board exams.

“I am glad that the exams have been cancelled/postponed. This is a great relief for lakhs of students and their parents,” Kejriwal tweeted.

On Tuesday, Kejriwal had requested the Centre to cancel the CBSE exams in view of the alarming situation of Covid-19 in the national capital.

The decision to cancel/postpone CBSE Board exams was taken at a high-level meeting between PM Narendra Modi, the Education Minister & top officials today.

The following decisions have been taken in the meeting:

  • CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2021 are cancelled.
  • CBSE Class 12th Board Exams 2021 have been postponed.
  • CBSE 10th Result 2021 will be declared on the basis of criteria set by the board.
  • Fresh exam CBSE date sheet for CBSE 12th board exams 2021 will be announced soon.
