Parbhani: The Maharashtra Water Resources Minister and state Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Jayant Patil on September 24, 2021, said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) should fight together in all places.
He was addressing a press conference after chairing a review meeting of the Water Resources Department in Parbhani district.
Replying to a question, Patil said admitted that the MVA may not fight jointly at all places but they should come together wherever it is possible.
He said that due to the Covid-19 restrictions it was not possible to hold rallies at the local level or to get the workers of the three parties to sit together and reach a consensus.
Therefore, we are working to win the hearts of local leaders, said Patil in Parbhani.
The MVA, is a political coalition in Maharashtra that was formed after the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from forming the state government.
The ruling MVA consits of the Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, Indian National Congress, Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi, Samajwadi Party, Prahar Janshakti Party, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Swabhimani Paksha, Peasants And Workers Party of India, and 10 Independent MLAs. (PW News)
