PM pays tribute to Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife, other personnel of Armed Forces

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid last respects to Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, his wife, and other personnel of the Armed Forces at Palam Airport on December 9, 2021.

The mortal remains of CDS General Bipin Rawat and other Armed Forces personnel, who lost their lives in the chopper crash in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor on December 8, 2021, reached Delhi at around 8 pm.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, three Services chiefs, and some of the family members of the personnel killed in the chopper crash were also present on the occasion.

After the wreath-laying ceremony, the Prime Minister tweeted: “Paid my last respects to Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and other personnel of the Armed Forces. India will never forget their rich contribution.”
