RSS chief holds complacency responsible for current Covid situation

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday held complacency responsible for the current Corona pandemic situation in India.

“All of us – general public, Government, and administration – became complacent after the first wave. Doctors were indicating but we became complacent. That’s why we’re facing this problem,” Bhagwat said while addressing the ‘Positivity Unlimited’ series of lectures organised by the RSS to infuse confidence and positivity among people as they fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coordinated by the RSS’ “Covid Response Team” in association with various civil services groups, the series is being held over five days since May 11.

Bhagwat said that Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge before humanity and India has to set an example.

“We have to work as a team, without discussing merits and demerits. We can do it later. We can overcome this challenge by working as a team and speeding up our work,” the RSS Chief said.

He said that “now there are talks of third wave but we don’t have to fear but prepare ourselves. If a third wave of coronavirus comes, we will defeat it”.

“The cycle of life and death will continue…these matters cannot scare us. Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. The courage to continue is the only thing that matters,” RSS Chief said.
