New Delhi: The Shiv Sena on October 13, 2021, demanded the Centre to tackle the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with an iron hand.
The party in an editorial in its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, a Marathi Daily, said that China and Pakistan may come together and pose a threat to India’s existence if the central government does not take strong action.
Without naming the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Shiv Sena termed it as ‘Political East India Company’ and China as ‘leading imperialist nation’.
Referring to the ongoing standoff between the armies of India and China, Shiv Sena said, “13 rounds of talks have been held on the issues, but all were in vain. If the government does not take strict action, then China and Pakistan will come together and create a threat to the existence of India. The ‘Political East India Company’ of the country should understand this.”
The editorial said that China supports every act of Pakistan in Kashmir, and ruling ‘undemocratic’ forces in Afghanistan.
The editorial said violence in Kashmir has increased since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan.
Erstwhile ally of the BJP minced no words in castigating Narendra Modi government over recent killings in Jammu and Kashmir.
“There is Narendra Modi government at the Center and Hindus are fleeing from the Valley. This does not suit a party like BJP, which supports Hindutva. The Prime Minister, the Home Minister and the Defense Minister should understand the pain of such people,” said the editorial.
Since Shiv Sena severed decades-old ties with the BJP to head a coalition government in Maharashtra, it doesn’t miss any opportunity to bash BJP-led Union Government. (PW News)
