Lucknow: The political temperature in Uttar Pradesh is becoming hotter day by day.

All the political parties have been trying everything in their reach to brighten their chances of touching the majority mark on March 10, 2022, when the result of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will be announced.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing heat from Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP).

Akhilesh has tied up with smaller parties to thwart the BJP’s plan to return to power.

Former CM Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) president Shivpal Yadav is also supporting the SP.

Shivpal had severed ties with the SP during the 2017 assembly elections in the state.

Shivpal Yadav, forgetting all the grievances, reached the SP office after five years on January 18, 2022, and held a meeting with Akhilesh Yadav.

After the meeting, Shivpal Yadav told reporters that the meeting was very fruitful and SP and PSP will jointly fight the elections.

He claimed that once again the SP government will return to power.

It is believed that the PSP will contest the elections on the symbol of SP.

Recently, Shivpal had said that though the PSP has got a new symbol but there is no time left to tell it to the public. (PW News)
