Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the doctors on the occasion of National Doctors Day.

In a congratulatory message issued here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that the birth anniversary of the great doctor, eminent freedom fighter and politician Dr. B.C. Roy is celebrated as National Doctors Day all over the country.

This day is an occasion to express gratitude to the doctors for the social service being done by them, he added. The Chief Minister said doctors have an important role in the health system of the country. Everyone is aware of the responsibility of doctors in nation-building and we are all grateful to the doctors for their contribution in the Corona period, he stated.

Our doctors have set a unique example of service to humanity in the form of frontline corona warriors and without caring for their lives, the doctors worked tirelessly to save the lives of each and every patient, the Chief Minister underlined.

The Chief Minister said that due to everyone’s cooperation, hard work and immense efforts, success has been achieved in controlling the infection of Covid-19 in the state. Yet we have to remember that our fight is against an invisible enemy, he cautioned while adding that it was, therefore, necessary that along with being fully vigilant at every level, the State Government’s policy of ‘Trace, Test and Treat’ for prevention and treatment of Covid-19 will have to be effectively continued.

The Chief Minister said that during the second wave of Corona, we also saw the safety shield of the vaccine. As a result of the vaccine’s protective shield, Frontline Corona Warriors were able to serve the affected people with confidence, he pointed out. In the coming times, the Central and State Governments are working with full commitment to take this protection cover of Covid vaccine to all the people of the targeted age group, the Chief Minister said.
